Highlights
With its compact and robust container design, the gas-powered Dräger GFC 3000 fire simulation system offers safe and versatile training opportunities for firefighting and the correct tactical approach during search and rescue operations in smoke-filled interiors. Specialised training elements can be integrated into the fire training system for maritime and industrial applications.
Setting new standards in interior firefighting
The Dräger GFC 3000 is a versatile training system that, in addition to actual firefighting, includes numerous other training scenarios essential for firefighters during extinguishing, search and rescue operations in interior attacks. It confronts trainees with real flames, extreme heat, high humidity and severely limited visibility due to dense artificial smoke, placing them in realistic stress situations. This provides them with insights and teaches them new tactics which can be applied in real-life operations, all with the aim of saving lives and minimising property damage.
The Dräger GFC 3000 features flexible inner walls and an entrance door for opening and breakthrough exercises. With this single system, firefighters can train under challenging conditions for the entire deployment process, including hose management and access to the scene of danger.
Realistic fire simulation
With its wide range of scenarios, the Dräger GFC 3000 offers realistic training conditions for indoor firefighting. The entire system is controlled by radio remote control. Each fire point is ignited separately or in combination with other components. The flame intensity can be adjusted to three different levels. The trainer or a fully automatic system can control how the fire spreads and how strong it is (flame height). The automatic system also monitors if the fire has been successfully extinguished. The stainless steel fire points create a very realistic flame effect and have a long lifespan due to the cooling effect of the water inside them.
Full control for added safety
The Dräger GFC 3000 features a fully automatic monitoring and control system to ensure the highest possible level of safety during training. This includes controlled operation with propane. In an emergency, the gas supply is immediately cut off using an emergency stop button in the fire training room or on the remote control. This enables users to realistically simulate fire scenarios with maximum safety.
Optional equipment
In addition to simulating indoor fire training scenarios, the Dräger GFC 3000 offers various expansion modules:
- Addition of a stacked 20-foot container with an internal staircase and another fire place
- Automatic extinguishing success monitoring
- Special building training elements such as a solar panel or a radiator mock-up for search exercises using a thermal imaging camera
- Maritime or industrial training elements such as engine and flange fires, ship doors and access hatches
- Roof access with camera surveillance
- Sound system with announcement capability
- Fire training-room monitoring with fixed thermal imaging cameras
- Hose rupture training scenario
- Additional furnishings that serve as robust physical obstacles
In the mobile version of the Dräger GFC 3000, the system is transported and operated on a standard trailer for 40-foot shipping containers. Users can easily apply for the necessary road permit.
Professional operator briefing and user training
Our comprehensive operator briefing includes advanced realistic fire training or a train-the-trainer course, led by professional and internationally experienced fire brigade trainers from the Dräger Academy.
The training programme is tailored to the configuration of the fire training system, with a focus on how to correctly use the adjustable and combinable training elements. Participants receive a training certificate, and those completing the train-the-trainer course obtain a trainer certification.
Built for sustainability
The Dräger GFC 3000 system's design places a strong emphasis on sustainability. This includes low-emission propane combustion at the fire places and a 'Smoke Only' option with artificial smoke, allowing for training without fire and with reduced CO2 emissions.
The durable materials are nearly fully recyclable and ensure a long lifespan. The system requires minimal maintenance, which can be carried out by trained users or Dräger Service technicians.
